2-10 cloves garlic, sliced or 1/2 teaspoon good quality garlic powder
1-2 teaspoons snipped fresh chives
1/2 cup butter or olive oil
1 loaf French bread
Chop garlic and put in measuring cup with butter and chives. Microwave
on high 30 seconds to melt. Set aside. Slice bread in half lengthwise
and place on baking sheet. Brown under broiler for several minutes. When
ready to serve, spread with the butter mixture, or dip bread pieces into
the mixture as it is eaten.
