Vegetable Beef

1 pound beef steak, top round or sirloin, sliced thin and marinate in the following sauce:
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 clove minced garlic
3-4 slivers of fresh ginger root
1 tablespoon oil
carrots, onions, broccoli, peppers, etc.
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1/2 cup water

While beef is marinating in first 5 ingredients, prepare the vegetables by slicing them on an angle. Place in "ugly pot", cover, and microwave on high power for 3-4 minutes. Set aside. Combine remaining 4 ingredients in glass measuring cup and whisk well. Heat wok and add about 2 tablespoons oil. Quickly stir and fry the meat, then add the vegetables and sauce ingredients. Stir and cook until sauce has thickened. Garnish and serve.
