1 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter
1/4 to 1/2 cup water
Filling:
3/4 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
8 medium apples, peeled, cored and sliced
2/3 cup sliced almonds
