Cloaked Apples and Carrots in Fondue

Fresh carrots
Fresh apples
toothpicks
1 pound Guittard's milk chocolate
1/2 cup half and half

Wash and scrape the carrots clean.

Cut into chunks if large. If using baby carrots, leave as they are. Cut the apples into wedges. Place the carrots in a microwave safe dish, cover, and microwave on high power for about 5 minutes per pound of carrots.

When tender, allow to cool. Arrange an apple slice and a carrot chunk on each toothpick and place on a tray. In a clean glass batter bowl, place the chocolate and then pour over the half and half.

Microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir to finish the melting.

When completely melted, pour the chocolate mixture into a beautiful bowl and arrange the carrots and apple sticks in the chocolate, enrobing some of them with the chocolate. Eat and enjoy.
