Streusel Cream Peach Pie

pie crust for one layer
4 cups quartered peeled peaches
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
2 eggs
2 tablespoons cream or half and half
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup soft butter

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Fit pie crust carefully into a 9 inch pie pan. Arrange the sliced peaches over the crust, sprinkle with sugar and nutmeg. Whisk the eggs, adding the cream, and pour over the peaches. In another bowl, mix the brown sugar, flour, and butter. Sprinkle crumb mixture over fruit.

Bake 40-45 minutes. Serve slightly warm.
